Planting & Care Instructions

  1. Soil Preparation: Prepare a well-draining, rich soil mix enriched with organic manure, vermicompost, or compost. Bhendi prefers fertile, warm soil with a neutral pH (6.0–7.0).

  2. Sowing: Direct sow or start in seedling trays. Sow seeds 0.5–1 inch deep in moist soil. Space plants 12–15 inches apart in rows or grow 1–2 plants per 12-inch pot.

  3. Watering: Water regularly at the base of the plant to keep the soil consistently damp. Avoid waterlogging and keep foliage dry to prevent fungal issues.

  4. Spacing & Care: Provide earthing up (mounding soil around the base) for plant stability as stalks grow tall. Harvest young, tender pods every 2–3 days once they reach 3–4 inches to encourage continuous fruiting.

Why Choose Oncrop Bhendi?

  • Homegrown Freshness: Delivers clean, pesticide-free, tender okra harvested straight from your home garden.

  • Heat Tolerant & Hardy: Thrives remarkably well in warm Indian summers and monsoons.

  • Continuous Harvest: Regular harvesting of mature pods promotes new flower blooms and steady pod production throughout the season
