Planting & Care Instructions

  1. Soil Preparation: Requires light, well-draining sandy-loam soil. Avoid heavy clay soil that holds excess water. Potting mix: equal parts garden soil, sand/cocopeat, and well-rotted compost or vermicompost. Maintain soil pH between 6.0 and 7.5.

  2. Sowing: Direct sow seeds into deep pots or final spots 2 to 2.5 cm (1 inch) deep. Keep soil warm and consistently moist until germination.

  3. Watering: Water regularly during early growth and pod development. Once established, Moringa is drought-tolerant; avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.

  4. Spacing & Care: Prune/top the main stem when the plant reaches 3–4 feet in height to encourage branching and bushier growth for higher pod yield. Apply organic manure or balanced fertilizer every month during the active growing season. Spray neem oil solution for pest protection against caterpillars and aphids.
